Bundled with a fabric honeycomb grid add-on that helps control the light spill spread by 40 degrees, and suitable for portraits, head shots, interviews, and fashion, the 34.8″ Light Dome II from Aputure is a 16-sided modifier that offers quality of light options and wide compatibility with Aputure lights, as well as those of the many other manufacturers that use the popular Bowens front accessory mount. The structure of the Light Dome II is fortified by its 16 durable steel support rods, while its silver interior maximizes your light source’s output. Its 24″ depth produces a focused light with directional control that can be narrowed further for selective lighting with the included 40° fabric grid. Aputure provides a removable inner diffuser and both 1.5-stop and 2.5-stop front diffusers that you can use individually or all at once for softness and contrast options. The supplied gel filter holder also offers creative color options. Any way you use it, you’ll find that the Light Dome II renders soft, flattering light with a wraparound quality and produces round, natural-looking catchlights in the eyes of your subject.

CINEMATIC QUALITY

The Aputure Light Dome II is a significant upgrade from the original Light Dome, featuring even higher quality diffusion fabric, a rapid build and breakdown system, an included honeycomb egg crate, and several more new additions.

ADVANCED DIFFUSION MATERIALS

The Aputure Light Dome II now includes two options (1.5 stops & 2.5 stops) for ultra-soft front diffusion fabric. These materials create a beautiful soft light that provides a very even wrap around your subject.

QUICK SETUP

The Aputure Light Dome II also features Aputure’s quick-release speed ring, allowing you to open or close the dome in a matter of seconds.

GEL HOLDER SUPPORT

The new speedring design of the Light Dome II allows it to be compatible with the included Aputure gel holder that maximizes the capabilities of your gels while minimizing the amount of material needed.

PERFECTLY ROUND CATCHLIGHT

The 35′′ Light Dome II uses 16 rods to create 32 points of axis, allowing an exceptionally round softbox that produces perfectly circular catchlights.

QUALITY FABRIC GRID

In addition to the multiple diffusion options, the Light Dome II also includes a studio grade 40​° ​fabric light control grid to help fine tune your soft light.

UNIVERSAL MOUNT

The new Light Dome II is designed to work with all fixtures from the Light Storm COB family. It is also compatible with a wide variety of Bowens mount lighting systems, the most common mount used in the world of photography.
